I’ve been a member of CFV since September, 2012. From the first sessions of
On-Ramp, I was immediately struck by the unwavering belief Jeremy had in
my ability to do things that I never even considered doing (Jump on the
box?? It’s as high as my knees!!).
I remember doing the CFV Paleo challenge the week after finishing On Ramp and the
only reason I even thought it was possible was because Jeremy and Deanna encouraged me to do it so I must be capable of doing it. Since then, they have encouraged me to do so many things I would’ve never done without their support.
It has never been about winning or being the best but only been about DOING your best.
That simple expectation inspires CFV members to try the impossible, keep going when
they think they can’t go anymore, and to keep coming back for more.
Another amazing thing about the CFV family is the way they will step up and
support each other when their members need it outside of the gym. When
my husband had emergency brain surgery last summer, CFV rallied with
caring messages, providing support while I was down in Vancouver, and even hooking us up with meals upon our return. WHOSE GYM DOES THAT?? It was truly heartwarming for my family to have an outpouring of support from the people I start my day with (at the ungodly hour of 5:30am).
In short, under Jeremy and Deanna’s leadership, CFV is much more than a place to work out. It is a community of amazing, inspiring people who care and support each other and I’m so proud to be a part of it.
