Throwdown Results

I apologize for this taking so long. Our scoring system for the competition had some major bugs which left Michelle Wood and I (Thank you Michelle!) to do some impromptu excel spreadsheeting. I finally got around to compiling the results to shows all of the event finishes with proper scoring applied and in a format that can be uploaded to the website. I’m pretty confident that there weren’t any mistakes made but if they are you can bring them to my attention and I’ll try to have it rectified. The only confusing part is the scoring in the event of a tie. In the event of a tie we go to top finishes through-out the weekend. If two people were to tie and one of them had two first place finishes while the other had only one then the winner is the one with the most, top ranking finishes.
We are so very proud of each and every one of you. The Throwdown was bigger and better than last year and every one of you looked like completely different athletes. It’s such a great feeling for a coach to watch his athletes grow and succeed. Collectively, we raised almost $1200 for the BCSPCA and Greater Vernon Kidsport – what an amazing way to give back to our community during this time of year. We are all very lucky to have the health and financial means to enjoy CrossFit but this isn’t the case for everybody. Christmas is the perfect time of year to potentially offer that gift to someone else.
